TREND: Fringe

Fringe, Fringe & More Fringe
Let it all hang loose! Fringe was a big trend all over the runways, from Oscar de la Renta dresses and Issey Miyake bags to Burberry statement skirts... I'm certain that fringe will be a major trend on this SS20 season. You've probably heard about the new Bohemia - featuring tie dye, bell-bottoms and Paisley print skirts. This trend has ushered in an updated take on that '70s fashion, and fringe was not ready to say goodbye.
The most featured pieces on this trend have been bags. The longer the better seems to be the statement on accessories. Fringe skirts, shoes and dresses are the level up. Designers are reimagining the fringed leather jacket, putting it on necklaces and cuffs, playing with long tassels and making them shine. This is one of those trends that I love and you can buy a very good piece because it will always come back. It is also a trend that has returned many times, so it's likely that you already have something with fringes in your closet.
You can choose a more dramatic piece to make a statement or opt for one that only have little details. The fringe can be found on leather, silk, diamond, some are long or very short. You have many ways to wear it in skirts, dresses, shoes and bags. We'll be seeing fringed jackets everywhere and it's the classic way to join the trend.
How to wear it?
Understand the balance. It’s very important to know how to incorporate a bold embellishment. With fringe you want to look trendy and fun. Choose one or two pieces embellished with fringe and leave the rest of your look basic. No matter if you are wearing it on shoulders, bag, jacket or shoes fringe is always an eye-catcher, so walk with confidence and let the movement be a central part of your style.
